Our little story

​Founded in Charlevoix in 1996 by Mr. Donald Michaud , Le Miel des Grands Jardins , L'Authentique Miel de Charlevoix is now the property of our beautiful little family since November 2012. Being an enthusiast of nature and life, discovery of bees was for me a joy. I had the chance to participate in the survival of this species in decline. Charlevoix, country of mountains, forests rich in wild plants and away from intensive monocultures , is the best place for our little protected . For our part, we are convinced.

We operate our apiaries in Baie-Saint-Paul  and La Malbaie valleys, in the mountains of St. Agnes, Les Éboulements and Saint -Urbain . Our hives also contribute to the pollination of some blueberry fields and orchards of our beautiful region .

We currently operate a little more than 150 hives. We work with Carniolan breed bees best suited to our climate of mountains and long, harsh winters. We mainly offer all flowers unpasteurized raw honey, minimum filtered to keep all the flavors of our beautiful region.
